Powder Brows

A Powder brow is a semi-permanent cosmetic tattoo technique that gives your eyebrows a soft, powdery look— similar to the effect of applying powder or pencil brow makeup. This powder effect is done with a soft shading technique using a permanent makeup device (the more gentle version of a tattoo gun). Cosmetic tattoo ink is implanted into the skin at a slow speed, layering little by little until the desired saturation is achieved to create the “powdery” look.

This is a great option for clients with oily skin, or those who want a “wake up with makeup” look—  This style of cosmetic tattooing tends to last longer than both microblading and nano brows.

2 sessions are typically needed, with consecutive touch-ups every 1-3 years.

What happens at this 2 hour appointment?

• The first 45 minutes is the consultation. Sophie will work with you to design your desired brow shape that the tattoo will be based on. After the perfect shape is created, we will choose a pigment match based on your skin tone and brow/hair color. Please bring photos of tattoo examples that are similar to the look you’re hoping for. If you wear brow pencil or products, please arrive with your brows filled in. If you do not know where to start, just come as you are!

• After the consultation, we will do the first pass of the tattoo, which lays down a very soft version of the shape of the tattoo. After the first pass, you will be numbed and as the appointment goes on, you will feel hardly anything! I do not use any initial or pre-numbing as these numbing creams can change the texture of your skin making it unsuitable for tattooing.

• Typically, 5-8 passes are done in a session to build up to the desired intensity. The actual tattooing is very fast, but the appointment can take up to 2 hours due to the back and forth of letting the pigment sit on top of the skin and re-numbing.

• At the end of the appointment: aftercare will be discussed, your touch up scheduled (6-12 weeks later), and the remaining payment will be taken.

Pricing:

First Session: $700 ($100 non refundable deposit; $600 due at appointment)

Touch up (6-12 weeks): $350

Touch up (3 - 8 months): $400

Yearly touch up (9 months plus since the last appointment): $500. *It does not matter how long its been, once you are a client, you are eligible for the yearly touch up rate! However, If too much of your powder brow tattoo fades, an additional session may be needed.
